Just one night after William Howard Taft slammed Teddy Roosevelt into the outfield wall, the Chief Justice was at it again.
On Saturday night at Nationals Park, Taft sat out of the fourth inning presidents race, but the portly president was hiding in the tunnel between section 134 and 135, and darted out onto the field as the Rough Rider was approaching the finish line.
Taft dove at Roosevelt, but as Teddy was fond of saying, it takes more than that to kill a Bull Moose. The two fell over the finish line, and Teddy was awarded the win.
