2020 Season – No Live Nationals Presidents Race

Coming off the 2019 World Series championship and victory parade, Washington Nationals fans did not get to raise a banner in person as the COVID-19 pandemic forced games to be played in a shorten season without fans in the stands.

Even after stadiums reopened with limited capacity, on-field activities were severely limited, and so there was no live GEICO presidents race inside the stadium in 2020.

When the shortened season began, the Nationals did attempt to keep the tradition alive by running races outdoors on the streets in DC, filming them, and sharing the videos (occasionally) on social media, but no standings were kept.
