Paula Abdul participated in a dance-off against the Nats’ mascot at Nationals Park Saturday, but it turned out her competition against Screech the Eagle was just a warm-up to the antics that unfolded during the fourth inning presidents race.
George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Abe Lincoln started off the race alone, but were halted in the home stretch by a waiting Teddy Roosevelt, who called on each of them to dance for judge Paula Abdul before continuing.
The two founding fathers got their groove on, but judges Abdul, Roosevelt, and William Howard Taft gave each of them scores averaging under 5 points.
Lincoln then stepped up and lamely flapped his arms around, but Abdul, who was clearly on the take, gave “Honest” Abe a nine, and the victory.
For those who never thought she was the best dance judge, your proof is below.
