Video: Twin Sharknados mow down racing presidents

2 Sharknados Nationals Presidents raceFor the second straight night, Sharknado returned to Nationals Park, and this time attacked the racing presidents from both directions.

Sharknado 1 met the presidents on the warning track, knocking Teddy back into the pack. Only Abe Lincoln remained on his feet, but then Sharknado 2 arrived from the rear and leveled the Great Emancipator.

Jefferson recovered to his feet and was unchallenged for the win.

Presidents Race Fan

I am a huge Washington Nationals fan (and partial season ticket holder) whose son fell in love with the Presidents Race from that first day in July, 2006 when big-headed Teddy first came up short. It's wonderful to think that such a fan-friendly tradition could become established in DC so quickly. Who says DC doesn't have great fans? I hope that our chants of "Let Teddy Win!" during the Presidents Race will continue to add fun and excitement to Nationals Park, and help turn more and more young people into Washington Nationals fans.
