It’s officially the last month of the season, which means time is running out for Teddy Roosevelt to notch his first win in 2011. Friday night’s series opener vs. the New York Mets might have been his best chance.
The Rough Rider was running a solid race, passing Abe Lincoln on the warning track and starting to pull away in the home stretch, but just within feet of the finish line, Teddy’s momentum toppled him over.
#26 ended up flat on his face, and Lincoln fell on top of him, allowing George Washington to clean up and take the tape.
