The forecast calls for sunny skies as the Washington Nationals return to Nationals Park Labor Day weekend to kick off the penultimate homestand of the season. Beginning Friday night, the Nationals plan to reward loyal fans with “Fan Appreciation Month” throughout September.
Fans in attendance can anticipate a large number of “Random Acts of Red”, including gifts of Nationals merchandise, tickets, and invitations to watch batting practice from the field, plus a packed promotional calendar, highlighted by 3 T-Shirt Tuesdays, Friday night fireworks, “Kids Run the Show” this Sunday, and tomorrow’s first-ever Pups in the Park promotion, in which $5 gets Fido into the Park with his very own seat. I think I’ve got to bring the camera for that.
My calendar is circled for Thursday, Sept. 10 — the night the ticket has my picture on it holding up a Let Teddy Win Rally Sign. Season ticket holders, if you don’t want your ticket stub, I’ll happily take the souvenir.
