For those saying the Nats need a new Bullpen, help has arrived.
Help drowning your sorrows, that is…
At 5:00pm Friday, two hours before the Washington Nationals take on the Philadelphia Phillies, The Bullpen will open its doors to the public, with food, drinks, and live music just outside the centerfield gates of Nationals Park. After a series of delays and rounds of approval by neighborhood groups and DC commissions, this marks an important milestone in the development of the Half Street neighborhood.
The Bullpen is on Half Street between M and N streets, between the Metro station and the stadium. Opening Friday will be a beer garden, local food vendors including Rocklands and Surfside, and interactive sports games for children. The bullpen will be open two hours before and after Washington Nationals home games.
Ah, a Happy Place! So different than the Bullpen inside the Park. You know the place where the relievers spend there time on the net with there iPhones watching other games and playing tetris. Fully disengaged from the concept of baseball.
