Just a 1/2-day after Mets pitcher Nelson Figueroa allowed six runs then antagonized the Washington Nationals players in post-game interviews, the Mets designated him for assignment. Darn. Thousands of childish, unprofessional Nats fans were looking forward to seeing him pitch in Nationals Park.
